The Sharon
Performing Artists Association, formerly the Sharon
Chamber Music
Association, was founded in 1990 by George Mellman. It is an
all-volunteer community service organization committed to promoting
professional-calibre musical activities in Sharon and to encouraging
public performances by young musicians.
Donations and concert
proceeds are used for student scholarships and to support local music
and music education. The scholarships are awarded annually in June for
summer music camps and summer music festivals as well as to graduating
seniors who have participated in our Youth Concerts.
We are very grateful to the Unitarian Church of
Sharon
for
hosting all our concerts!
