Scholarships
Sharon Performing Artists Association (SPAA) Scholarships are awarded
annually in June to students who study privately, live in Sharon
or attend Sharon schools, and
participate in our annual Youth Concerts. The scholarships are awarded to
both graduating seniors and students who wish to attend summer music camps
or festivals.
To apply for this scholarship, please send your name, address, phone
number, the name of the music camp or festival, other information
(overnight or day program, how many days or weeks involved and the cost of
the program) to Iris Jacobs, 16 Harold St,
Sharon, MA 02067.
Deadline is June 1, 2010.
The Bernie Jacobs Memorial Music Scholarship was established after his
death in 2001. It is sponsored by SPAA. Scholarships are awarded to
deserving high school seniors who are residents of Sharon who plan to focus
on a musical career beyond high school.
To apply for this scholarship, please send a letter of intent stating
your post graduate educational and career goals to Iris Jacobs, 16 Harold
St., Sharon, MA 02067. Deadline is June 1, 2010.
